Food Safety

Spice Trade, uses a combination of the most cutting edge technologies, to ensure complete food safety, both by destroying all pathogens, and at the same time avoiding all forms of hazardous pesticides, fungicides and radiation. This protects your business, your customers and ultimately your bottom line, while allowing you to provide customers food products that meet even the most demanding expectations.

STEAM TREATMENT

Using an autoclave machine, we employ a combination of air pressure and superheated water to effectively eradicate bacteria, viruses, and fungal spores. This method, akin to those used in hospitals for hazardous waste disposal, achieves remarkable sterilization without subjecting sensitive ingredients to excessively high temperatures. Steam sterilization for just 3 minutes at 275°F can yield the same sterility levels as traditional dry heat methods requiring two hours at 320°F. This cutting-edge steam treatment is organic-compatible and avoids the use of unpopular synthetic chemicals or radiation.

Dry Heat Method

For certain ingredients like powders where steam treatment isn’t feasible, Spice Trade utilizes an advanced rapid dry heat method. This technique employs elevated temperatures coupled with forced ventilation to achieve the benefits of dry heat sterilization with reduced processing time.
